You are what you eat, and while organic aphrodisiacs don’t necessarily help you last longer in bed, nutrition does play a role in your performance. In particular, pistachios have been found to be helpful in easing erectile issues because they’re rich in arginine. Arginine is a protein that is thought to improve circulation by keeping your blood vessels relaxed and supple, ultimately increasing blood flow to your penis and supporting erectile function.



Like nuts, shellfish (especially oysters) are generally considered aphrodisiacs. That’s due to their high concentration of zinc, which is crucial in the production of testosterone. Therefore, raising your levels of testosterone can be a helpful tool in alleviating erectile dysfunction.

To be clear, studies have shown that testosterone in itself doesn’t turn a man into a sexual powerhouse. However, a deeply diminished level of testosterone does have some effect, so a little natural boost doesn’t hurt.

Besides oysters, other foods that are rich in zinc include crabs, lobsters, mushrooms, kale, garlic, avocados, and spinach. Just don’t forget the breath mints.



As it turns out, watermelon is more than just a delicious treat on a hot summer day. That’s because it’s rich in lycopene, an antioxidant that is known for giving fruits their red or pink colour. Other foods that have high levels of lycopene include tomatoes, papaya, and grapefruit. Lycopene helps reduce levels of oxidative stress in your body, which reduces the impact of many health problems.

Watermelon also contains L-citrulline, which is an amino acid that relaxes your arteries and promotes blood flow. With blood moving around more easily in your body, it’s easier to get and maintain an erection for sexual intercourse.
